amanda-client software package provides Advanced Maryland Automatic Network Disk Archiver (Client), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install amanda-client
amanda-client is installed in your system.
Make ensure the amanda-client package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep amanda-client *
You will get with amanda-client package name, version, architecture and description in a table
